So I guess it's not possible to uncheck these two boxes via the command line and sorry, it's a German version? Thanks for the quick reply! I'm using the Rhino rendererer but since I am still new at this I don't know which are the right places to look for this. Views: If you're talking about the Brazil shadow settings, then I can't even change those using only the command line. This is driving me nuts!My hope is that there is some kind of property I have to set on the object, but browsing the SDK I did not find anything shadow-related. I keep getting the shadows from my sketchUp model.
#Rhino 6 turn off shadow how to
SketchUp's own shadow settings has no effect on VRay other than controlling sun position I have the same situation, but I don't know how to remove the skymap from GI, Background is off and Default Lights are off. Users browsing this forum: No registered users and 8 guests. You onlt have to get inside the sun map, and turn off shadow. SketchUp's own shadow settings has no effect on VRay other than controlling sun position.īackground doesn't add any illumination does it? Thanks for all the replies! Besides, I found that you don't have to turn the whole sun off, making the whole result dark. That's what I do - and then usually reply in a plain colour in the GI to give a nice soft light from all direction that leaves no shadow. Might need to turn off Default Light under General Switches. What should I turn off to don't render the shadows?Īt this point I don't have a clue Thanks for you help - it is appreciated! Posts: 2 Joined: Tue Mar 13, pm. #Rhino 6 turn off shadow pro
The Pro version offers clown, geometric normal and depth pass. Thanks GMA - we will look into the translucent material issue. So far this program is just great, the quality of my work has improved dramatically. It be nice if it would output the final rendered image into separate elements, like diffuse, specular, reflection, shadow, sss passes. I'm wondering if keyshot would be working on an automated way to separate the render elements into multiple passes sometime soon, just like how it would be for renderers like vray and mental ray. Using the "flat" material type will let you render with no shadows, and in KS4, the clown pass lets you render that quickly Yeah that is true. The shadows turn off if you use HDRIs for lighting, but currently don't when you use physical lights. I mean all shadows, including the ones falling unto my character model, and being casted by the character's clothes, accessories, etc. When you are using image based lighting HDRs, they render the shadows casted from the HDR even with self shadows turned off. I can turn of self shadows in my render settings, but they will only work in non hdr standard light setups. Ideally, i would like to have a diffuse, spec, translucency and SSS, shadow pass all separate for tweaking in post. I am just wondering if there is a way or workaround to rendering a shadow pass separately for all models in my scene in keyshot 4.
